The agreement between you and Campus Mitra.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Campus Mitra (“Campus Mitra,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our websites, mobile applications, dashboards, and connected services (the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are using the Services on behalf of a college, club, or business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide accurate information during registration, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@campusmitra.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may require email verification, two-factor authentication, or campus verification before granting access to certain features.

You retain ownership of the content you post on Campus Mitra (listings, posts, comments, reviews, photos, messages, and any other materials, collectively, “Your Content”).

By submitting Your Content, you grant Campus Mitra a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and display), distribute, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Services. This license ends when you or we delete Your Content, except where retention is required by law or for backups on a scheduled rotation.

You represent and warrant that Your Content:

• is accurate and not misleading;
• does not infringe the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
• complies with applicable law and these Terms.

We may remove or limit visibility of content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

You agree not to:

• violate any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate any illegal activity;
• harass, threaten, dox, impersonate, or defame any person, or post content that promotes hatred or discrimination;
• upload malware, attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without prior written consent;
• scrape, mirror, frame, or otherwise extract data from the Services using automated means, except as expressly permitted by us;
• circumvent rate limits, authentication, or any security or moderation mechanism;
• use the Services to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) or to artificially inflate engagement;
• list prohibited items, including weapons, controlled substances, counterfeit goods, stolen property, exam papers, ghost-writing services, or anything that violates campus policies;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Services, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.

Campus Mitra provides a venue for students to discover and transact with other students and partners. Unless explicitly stated, we are not a party to the underlying sale, purchase, or exchange between users.

• Listings: sellers are responsible for the accuracy of listings, the legality of items, applicable taxes, and fulfillment.
• Buyers: are responsible for reviewing listings, verifying counterparties, and making informed decisions.
• Disputes: we provide tools to report issues and may, at our discretion, mediate disputes, withhold payouts, or reverse transactions where fraud is detected.
• Reviews: must reflect genuine experiences. Fake or incentivized reviews are prohibited.

Most core features of Campus Mitra are free for students. Where fees apply (for example, premium business listings, promotional placement, or transaction commissions), they will be clearly disclosed before you incur them.

Payments are processed by third-party payment service providers. By making a payment, you also agree to the terms of the relevant processor. Refunds are governed by the policy displayed at the time of purchase.

All fees are quoted exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your transactions.

The Services, including the software, design, branding, logos, and original content created by Campus Mitra, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose, subject to these Terms.

If you believe content on the Services infringes your intellectual property rights, please send a notice to copyright@campusmitra.com with the information required by applicable law.

The Services may include links to or integrations with third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

You may stop using the Services at any time and delete your account from settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued access poses a security or trust risk to the platform. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure.

Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms will end. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of dealing.

Campus Mitra does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee the conduct of users or the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of listings or content posted by users.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Campus Mitra and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services.

In no event will our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) INR 5,000.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Campus Mitra and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (i) your use of the Services, (ii) Your Content, (iii) your violation of these Terms, or (iv) your violation of any third-party right.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, unless prohibited by mandatory local law.

Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting legal@campusmitra.com. We will try to resolve the matter within 30 days.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Services or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect, except where a shorter period is required by law. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
